A strong Health and Safety culture underpins our BE SAFE Strategy. Our behavioural safety programme, Costain Behavioural Safety (CBS), focuses on the relationship between our safety culture and health and safety performance.

Costain Behavioural Safety

The principle of CBS is “To create a safety culture where our people do the right things because they want to”, focusing on being responsible for the environment we create and the resulting behaviour and performance that it brings.

We have combined all of our experience and knowledge of Behavioural Based Safety (BBS), and working with an industry leading expert have developed our Costain Behavioural Safety Programme.
